This weeks giveaway – another kit!

June 29, 2009 by Jess 85 Comments

Up for grabs this week is another great Β kit: Scarlet Nights! I love these products by Jenni Bowlin Studios – the colors and patterns are gorgeous!

scarletnightskit

So leave a comment here by Saturday, July 4 at midnight and I’ll post the winner on Sunday. : )

My question for you this week is: What is your favorite scrapbook layout or mini album (or project) that you’ve made so far? (if you have a link to it that would be awesome too!)

Have a great week! I’ll be back to post more tomorrow. This last week has been so busy (but so wonderful) being with my family, but I haven’t been on the computer much at all! If you’ve emailed me, I promise I will catch up on my emails in the next few days!

I’m not computer savy enough to have a “link” to anything but I love the little mini book I made called Cakes for the Memories. My brother always teased me about all the pictures I had of birthday cakes thru the years so I decided to make a book out of them…it’s so cute and quirky!

My favorite mini has to to be an album about my parents. I started it after my father died and finished it after my mom died. It’s not fancy, not a lot of embellies, but plenty of memories.

My favorite layout is one of my most recent. I usually only do double page layouts, but this is my second, yes SECOND, single pager! Also, I have always focused mainly on holidays and special events in my scrapbooks and not everyday life. This layout is about my daughter’s favorite afternoon snack, and I love that I am growing as a scrapbooker for the better!

I made a mini album about a trip I took with my husband and sister to California (we are from Vermont!) I love how it turned out, as a way to document our trip, but I also love that it shows how well my husband and sister get along. They act like real siblings and I love that it is evident in the album. πŸ™‚

I love making mini albums. My favorite is an album I made for my daughter and her fiance (now her husband) when they were first engaged. It’s full of their favorite pictures from when they first started dating through their engagement. I made three identical albums – one for them, one for his parents, and one for my husband and myself. It was a true labor or love.

So to answer your question – favorite layout or page is one that I made for a digital challenge on WeScrap (http://www.wescrap.com/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/8563/ppuser/3240) The thing that makes it so special is that it is about my friend Lindsay who has such a heart for others that in her 20’s she started a non-profit organization to bring blankets to babies in the USA and all around the world – http://www.blanketsforbabies.net

Wow I love that Jenni stuff. My fave layout uses some of her paper & bingo cards…http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/pg.asp?cmd=display&layout_id=1493660

I also like this layout because it’s just too fun.

Fabulous website BTW. I think my favorite lo would have to be this one. It has big memories as I was going thru a huge transition in my life. I have a thing with bright firey colors, love the tango oranges and hot pinks. Have a fabulous day.

My favourite album? Oh, that’s easy, the one I’m about to start, of course! This week, it’s the “our house” mini album I’m FINALLY getting around to; I’ll be using a Maya Road shaped chipboard album & photos that have been sitting here for (I’m ashamed to admit) 10 years. Hope you had an excellent Canada Day & didn’t try to take beer on the bus!

Hard to choose a favorite, but one of them would be a two-page layout I did of my two daughters that had some of my favorite pictures of them taken over several years.

My favorite mini album to date is a vacation album I did for my big brother for when he & his girlfriend came to visit me. It was my first time trying with a 7Gypsies mini accordian album and I was worried about fitting pix into such a small space, but it all worked out. Thanks for the chance to bring home some Jenni Bowlin.

What a beautiful kit! Thanks for the chance to win it!
My favorite project this year has to be the mini album I made out of toilet paper rolls. I can’t take credit for the idea because I saw it on someone else’s blog, but I’ll share a link to the project on my blog (which also links back to my original inspiration) :

My favorite is probably an album of just all my favorite pictures–it is fun to look back at them!

I may or may not be getting this in my midnight…depending on the time zone. I’m in CST so it’s only 11:21. πŸ™‚

Anyway, my favorite layout currently is this one: http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/pg.asp?cmd=display&layout_id=1475198

My opinion changes ALL THE TIME, but this is a fave because I found the photo on my friends’ facebook page. It’s from almost 20 years ago, and I was delighted to see my friends looking so young and bad*ss in their band photo shoot! One of my best friend’s dad took the photo, and it was shot in my back yard, in front of the church where my dad was the pastor and the band practiced. Anyway, I as soon as I saw the photos I was flooded with fond memories of these guys and that spring/summer. I had to make a layout of it, and it came together in less than 30 minutes. I love it.

    What a great question! Thanks!

I know I am probably posting too late that’s okay.. any excuse to share πŸ˜€

Right now this is one of my favorite layouts… partially because it’s not my usual style… and it came out much better than I ever expected

and then as far as a mini album, I made this one for my cousin as a bridal shower gift.
