Sleepless Nights…

May 11, 2009 by Jess Leave a Comment

….and not enough hours in the day.  Our house is in complete chaos right now. With trying to clear some stuff out, pack and get the house ready to sell, it just seems like there is too much to do and not enough time left to do it in. I walk into a room and don’t even know where to start. We have boxes and rubbermaid bins in every room, as we try to sort out what to keep, what I want to take with me to California, and what to get rid of.
I won’t be able to take much, basically what we can fit into the back of the car.

I found this video on youtube – its about the EATM program that I got into – very cool!

Exotic Animal Training and Management Program

Zoey had her surgery a few days ago and is doing well. Her first night home was not good – she whimpered for hours and it broke my heart. She has a huge incision all the way from the bottom of her rib cage to her lower abdomen. We should have the results from her liver biopsy at the end of the week.

June will be my last month teaching scrapbooking classes at Precious Memories, well teaching classes anywhere actually. (for the next 2 years anyway). As of August, I officially become a student again. crazy…

A new class I’ll be teaching at PM in June is a Date book – this was really fun to put together! I made one for my mum for mother’s day and I also made a matching address book to go with it. (I put together a tutorial on this, I’ll try to get it listed in the next couple days).

New Tutorials!

December 13, 2008 by Jess Leave a Comment

CHA is coming up soon in Anaheim, California. I’m going to be going and teaching a workshop for Memory Makers! yay! My workshop, called Playing with Paper, can be seen here : I’ll be teaching 2 mini albums from my book, and everyone who takes the workshop will get a copy of my book! I’ll also be doing some book signings in the Memory Makers (F & W Publications) booth, so if you’re at CHA, please pop on over to say hi.

I worked on a bunch of new tutorials today, all Holiday related, there are 6 new ones posted on my tutorials page: Quick and Easy Holiday Tags, Holiday Card Holder Felt Wall Hanging, and 4 Take Out Gift boxes, using techiques by Claudine Hellmuth and some of her new products.

Here are a few sneak peeks of the Holiday Clear Mini Album class – I had a lot of fun making these, and there was lots of product left over from the kit! I love it when that happens : )  (There are a few different variations on this book)

Back from CK Seattle

November 16, 2008 by Jess Leave a Comment

It was a quick but fun trip to Seattle for the Creating Keepsakes Convention. I taught 2 classes, both on mini books, and as promised, here are some photos of the finished Maze book for those who took the class. I learned the hard way that one bind it all machine is NOT enough for 40 people in a one hour class, so a big thank you to everyone for being so patient! I am going to invest in at least one more BIA for when I’m teaching away from a store.

My mum came with me for the trip and I’m really glad she was able to come! Even though we were exhausted from all the driving (and getting lost a couple times along the way!), we still had a fun time! Thanks for coming Mum!

A short post for tonight, but I’ve gotta go study for an exam that I have tomorrow morning. Only 3 weeks left of school! Woohoo!!
